Congratulations! You've decided to Localscape! This in-person class will teach you how to apply the method correctly to ensure you achieve all the benefits a Localscape provides. We'll cover the five steps in detail including landscape layout, an overview of irrigation, and planting bed basics.
If you are unfamiliar with Localscapes, we recommend taking Introduction to Localscapes online first, which will help you determine if Localscaping is right for you.

Flip Your Strip

Learn the best techniques to add curb appeal and save water by removing non-functional lawn and beautifying your landscape.
Lawn struggles to grow in park strips and wastes a lot of water. Flipping your park strip by removing the lawn and replacing it with waterwise plants, irrigation, and mulch is the soultion. This in-person class focuses on best practices to save water in your park strip through appropriate watering, plant selection, and planned maintenance.

Localscapes: Design Workshop

Creating a good landscape plan is one of the most important steps to achieving a beautiful and functional landscape. If you’ve taken Localscapes University but want extra help laying out your design, this workshop will get your ideas onto paper. We’ll walk you through a guided design process that covers the elements of a Localscape and the basics of planting bed design without getting into the details like selecting individual plants. Each attendee should leave with a basic Localscapes design drawn to-scale.
Requirements:
1. Attendees are required to have attended a Localscapes University.
2. Attendees must come prepared with a base map of their property drawn to scale

If you feel confused or overwhelmed trying to design and install an Irrigation system, the Localscapes Irrigation Workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get started. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll show you parts of an irrigation system, how they go together, and when you should use a drip system.

Creating a good landscape plan is one of the most important steps to achieving a beautiful and functional landscape. This workshop is for those who have taken a Localscapes class and want extra help laying out their design. You will be taken through a guided design process that covers the elements of a localscape, and you should leave with a basic design drawn on paper. Attendees must bring a base map of their property drawn to scale.
Only one registration necessary per landscape. Multiple people can attend on one registration if they share the same landscape.
Class will be held at Central Utah Water Conservancy District
